The Halal Academy Brazil was founded in 2017, born from the then-current shortage of qualified labor in the Halal services sector in Brazil. It is a private institute for training, qualification, and continuing education specializing in the Halal segment, whose sponsoring organization is MECA – Mantenedora Educacional e Cultural. The Halal Academy maintains a strategic partnership with FAMBRAS HALAL, the first Brazilian Halal product certification company, operating in the country since 1979. FAMBRAS HALAL is responsible for the certification of renowned brands such as Sadia, Seara, Perdigão, Marfrig, Minerva, JBS, Mondelli, Frigol, and processed products such as Ferrero, Nestlé, Quatá, Piracanjuba, Lactalis, Itambé, Batavo, Ajinomoto, Conservas Olé, among others.
