
Dr. A.S. Paul Gabriel Hilu
Historian and anthropologist, specializing in Islam in Brazil and Latin America. He coordinates postgraduate research in Anthropology and the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at UFF (Federal Fluminense University). He works on studies of Islam in Syria, Brazil, and Arab identity in Rio de Janeiro. He has published five books and conducted research in Syria, Iraq, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Suriname. He holds degrees in History and Medicine, and a doctorate in Anthropology from Boston University in the United States.
