Syrian-Colombian, specializing in English Literature, with a postgraduate degree in Sociology. Former member of the Vatican dialogue team, member of the OIPALC, and president of the Islamic Charitable Association of Bogotá. Sheikh of the Abu Bakir Al Sidique Mosque in Bogotá, he is active in social initiatives and interreligious dialogue in Latin America.
