IHA supports the ESG-Halal agenda of the FAMBRAS Group in its action for World Water Day.
As a strategic partner of the FAMBRAS Group in fulfilling its ESG-Halal agenda, the International Halal Academy (IHA) participated in the actions carried out in March in commemoration of World Water Day, celebrated on March 22nd. In 2026, the theme of the day was "Water and Gender," highlighting the unequal impacts of water scarcity on women and girls in different regions of the world.
Among the initiatives promoted, a lecture was held at Colégio 24 de Março, located in the southern zone of São Paulo, given by nutritionist Shirlei Tessarini, coordinator of the Nutrition courses at Estácio University, focusing on raising awareness about water and gender. The action also included the donation of collapsible cups made from rice fiber, encouraging more sustainable practices in daily life. In total, the initiative impacted 46 people directly and 184 indirectly.
In addition to external activities, FAMBRAS Group employees were made aware of the global water crisis, the impacts of the lack of basic sanitation, and the role of women in this scenario through an internal awareness campaign. The initiative included sending informative emails and displaying educational posters throughout the company.
