IHA, in partnership with the FAMBRAS Group, participates in a debate on the employability of Afghan refugees in Brazil.
On April 16th, the International Halal Academy and the FAMBRAS Group promoted the event “Employability of Afghan People in Brazil,” in conjunction with UNHCR, Companies with Refugees, the Global Compact Network Brazil, Caritas Archdiocese of São Paulo, and the Ministry of Justice and Public Security of the Federal Government. The initiative also had the support of the Government of Canada and the Pão de Açúcar Group.
The meeting brought together experts, institutions, and company representatives in panels and debates focused on expanding access for Afghan refugees to the Brazilian job market, promoting inclusion, acceptance, and new opportunities for social integration. Delduque Martins, executive director and secretary general of IHA, participated in a panel related to training issues in the Halal sector and employability. Luciana de Lucca, Human Resources manager of the Fambras Group, participated in a panel on the inclusion of migrant and refugee professionals in the Halal market in Brazil.
