More Agrotins: IHA president and director accompany Qatar’s ambassador on official engagements

During Agrotins 2026, the International Halal Academy—represented by its president, Ali Zoghbi, and its executive director and secretary-general, Delduque Martins—accompanied Qatar's Ambassador to Brazil, Ahmad Mohammed Ali Mohamed Alshebani, to various institutional meetings focused on strengthening ties between Tocantins and the international Halal market. They took part in meetings with agribusiness leaders, institutional representatives, businesspeople, and local officials.

The meetings covered strategic topics such as the current state of Halal certification for international trade; strengthening ties between Brazil and Arab countries; Tocantins’ potential in the international agribusiness market; and closer collaboration between the International Halal Academy and educational institutions in Qatar.

Among the engagements was a dinner hosted in Palmas by the Association of Rural Producers of Southwest Tocantins (Aproest), chaired by Wagno Milhomem. It brought together representatives from agribusiness, investors, business leaders, and leaders from the industry, foreign trade, and tourism sectors.

The meetings underscored the role of institutional dialogue and international cooperation in creating new opportunities for the economic, educational, and commercial development of the state of Tocantins.
