
Dr. Mohamed Bechari
Dr. Mohammed Bechari is the Secretary-General of the World Council of Muslim Communities and one of the most influential Islamic figures in the world. A doctor of Islamic jurisprudence and its principles, he has held senior positions in several Islamic and international institutions and regularly contributes to the regional press. He has received numerous honors, including the King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein Medal of Excellence and the Order of Arts and Sciences of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Dr. Bechari led the General Federation of Muslims in France and the Council of European Muslims, and served as Rector of the Ibn Sina Institute of Humanities in France. His works focus on Islamic thought and contemporary challenges; they include "The Question of Tolerance: An Introduction to a System of Human Civilization," "The Interplay between Philosophy and Ethics," and "Trends in the International System in the Post-COVID World" (2023). He has also contributed to research on Muslim integration in Europe and intellectual shifts within Islamic movements.
