International Halal Academy (IHA) held another edition of its Halal Training and Awareness Course – Industry and Slaughterhouses on May 29. The training was held live online via Zoom, with free registration open to the public. More than 3,000 students attended.

“The Halal market is a segment that continues to grow worldwide and increasingly calls for technical expertise, cultural knowledge, and an understanding of the standards involved. Our goal is to expand access to this knowledge and connect companies and professionals with the opportunities available,” says Ali Zoghbi, IHA president and one of the course instructors.

Delduque Martins, IHA’s executive director and secretary-general, adds: “Training is part of our mission to make knowledge about the Halal sector accessible to all and help prepare professionals to work in a global market where Brazil is already a leading player.”
