The 1st Halal Forum Anuga Select Brazil, themed “Increased consumer awareness, multiculturalism and globalization”, is organized by the International Halal Academy – the first private institute in Latin America for training and qualification for the Halal market. It has the strategic partnership of FAMBRAS Halal Certificadora, a pioneer in Halal certifications in Brazil, operating throughout Latin America, and institutional support from SEBRAE.

Increased consumer awareness, multiculturalism, and globalization.
The 2026 theme reflects the need to respond to the growing global demand for transparency, ethics, and consumer trust in food production. In a multicultural and globalized economy, the Forum acts as a catalyst for the integration of Halal into traditional markets, positioning it as a universal seal of quality. The global Halal food market is significant: in 2023, it generated approximately US$1.43 trillion in spending by Muslim consumers, with projections reaching US$1.94 trillion by 2028, an annual growth rate of 6.2%. Brazil is one of the leading players in this market, being the world's largest supplier of Halal food, but there are still opportunities, especially regarding processed products.
